Big decision has been made.

After many hours of consideration I have narrowed my search for the breeder that I will get my Beardie (or 2) from down to 4 options, Blood bank dragons, Fire and Ice dragons, Rainbow dragons, or my local Repticon that will be this Spring!

This is a very important step for preparing to get a Bearded Dragon. To choose a breeder I suggest these 3 things,

      1. Talk to them.
It's always best to create a  relationship with the breeder(s). If you know the breeders personally, then you will know whether or not you want to deal with them as you go through this process.

      2. Ask to see the parents.
If they won't show you the parents, I promise there is something going on. Either they are selling Lizards that are not theirs (bought from someone then sold to you.) Which can cause major relocation stress. Or they over breed their animals to the point where they don't know the parents anymore.

      3. Look at the prices.
If you don't like the prices, LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

If you aren't happy with the prices or customer service, just remember it's your choice where to buy from!

Cage progress!!!

I have been working on my cage (I wish that I knew how to share photos). It is so close to being done! It is 5/8 melamine, with soft Maple borders, and I am making Rustic Cherry cabinet Doors.
The dimensions are 49 1/2" - 24" - 25"

I sealed it with Polycrylic. I plan on painting a background on the cage.

I plan on buying a Baby Beardie, so I am also making a divider to split the cage in half for a few months.

It's going to be Amazing!!!!!!  I promise that I will post pictures As soon as I can.

Until next time, A boy with a dream.

Description of cage I will build...

I like to build things. I know that I could get a nice cage for $40 at PetCo (if I watch for their sale). But I want to build mine!

My dimensions will be 4'x 2'x 2'  It will be made of Melamine. I will be making a flip down door (I like to use the Router)!

I will be painting the inside to look like a Desert scene! (with added Psychedelic Items)!

More to come.

Sheet to fill out..

This is a "Health chart" that I put together. It is to track the progress of your new Bearded Dragon! Feel free to use, and edit for your needs.
